Human beings are subject to error. Reasoning cannot always be sustained, and even when sustained, it does not guarantee correct conclusions. What matters is vigilance: to recognize mistakes when they occur, make whatever amends are possible, learn whatever lessons are available, and then move on.

Striving for perfection without acknowledging limits is its own kind of failure.
